Grace Five was started by Dr. Eddie Mitchell in the summer of 2021. God spoke to Pastor Mitchell about grace and sharing that grace with the lost and broken-hearted. Every Saturday, Pastor Mitchell would go into Downtown Montgomery and pass out $5 bills and pray with whoever crossed his path. Out of his obedience, he was able to share the Gospel and people began to receive the love of Christ.
Dr. Mitchell met Jesus face to face on May 1, 2022, after a battle with brain cancer. His love for people and sharing the Gospel never wavered and it is our desire as a team to carry on that legacy.
Our team meets weekly on Saturdays to carry on Pastor Mitchells legacy. We begin in the Downtown area with prayer and walk the streets to pass out $5 and pray for those that we come into contact with. We are in the process of opening our first of many ladies recovery homes in Wetumpka AL. We will be able to house 8 ladies in our year long discipleship home to help them prepare for life after addiction and/or prison.
We also have a food pantry that services those in our community that need extra help one Saturday per month.
